Quarter Life Crisis? I Try Addressing These 3 Social Constructs And Feel Happier

1. Patience Brings Success & Happiness
Being in my early twenties with 5 companies in my resume, I get to hear this a lot. When I was fresh, I tried to believe in the seniors. And every time I did so, I was more miserable, unhappy and unfulfilling. In short, I crashed every time I failed to trust myself.
Then I turnt off that “patience" speech and oh my, trusting my instinct again is purely the happiest.
I learned my lesson then and there — that not all types of patience are created equal. The true kind of patience is when it is a calculated risk, when you wait for the bigger return. After all, why should you invest your time to lose, right?
The old Aristotle’s saying “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet" seems needing a little bit of context, because not all trees are healthy to bear the sweet fruit. So if you find your tree seems a little bit rotten, there is nothing guilty in dropping out.
